About JEP
UNVEILING PROFOUND, GENUINE CONNECTION BETWEEN PETS, AND THEIR PEOPLE.
In my younger years, I worked as an Obedience and Agility instructor for a local dog training company. During those years, I met innumerable dogs. Puppies, seniors, & every age in between (yes, including those challenging teenagers!). I worked with fearful dogs, shy dogs, anxious dogs, excitable dogs, exuberant dogs, & happy-go-lucky dogs. I worked with dogs with special needs, dogs with reactivity or aggression, and every breed under the rainbow (or a mix thereof).
My biggest takeaway from my years as an instructor, helping out with friend and family dogs, as well as my journey of owning three extremely different dogs, is they are all incredibly unique. Whether it's training, or activity levels, dogs don't all fit in the same box, & they appreciate approaches that consider them as an individual.
When I'm photographing your dog, I'm photographing YOUR dog.
I will follow your & your dog's lead, and treat their session dynamically, using what I see and what they're giving me to build on. If you're concerned your dog is too nervous, or too exuberant, please know that I have probably trained, loved, &/or successfully photographed a pup just like yours.
If you're here for equine photos, don't worry. I was a horse girl before I was a dog person! I have over 25 years of experience around horses, and while I was never fortunate enough to own my own, I've loved many (& leased a few) just like they were my own. I still have a goal to find my perfect equine companion (as well as take some Reining lessons) but for now I'm content loving on other people's horses, and certainly, photographing them! & I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get those ears up! I'm no "black background" wizard (I'll leave that to those who do it oh so well), but if what you want are some photos that depict your profound connection with your hooved soulmate, let me.
Photography is in my blood; my father is a wildlife and landscape photographer. My happy place is outside, in a barn, with my dogs and preferably with my camera in hand. I love a good cup of tea, baked goods, black licorice, four wheeling & reading. I do not like ketchup, fleece or being too hot.
Do you want gorgeous photos & beautiful wall art for your home? All you have to do is show up with your best one, & let me take care of the rest. Your session will be fluid, fun, & a little bit awkward in the best way possible (because, well-- hi, it's me).
"Danielle was amazing to work with! She is very talented and has an eye for capturing how special the human + canine relationship is. The process was comfortable and fun, Danielle was very communicative and I got my photos back quickly. I am super happy with her work and find her prices to be more than reasonable.
Thank you, Danielle!"

"Amazingly fun and considerate!
Danielle was truly a joy to work with. She came prepared with lots of ideas for photos and made us feel like we were just friends on the beach. She was so understanding of our dogs and their needs and capabilities. She captured our family perfectly! I would give her more than 5 stars if I could. We will definitely continue to recommend her & will be using her in the future again!"
